Musician Joseph Mayanja aka Chameleone and veteran politician, Latif Ssebagala are battling it out on the NUP ticket for the Lord mayorship of Kampala.

Sebaggala is a tested opposition MP who entered Parliament in 2001 on Democratic Party (DP) ticket, but in 2016 elections he stood as an independent and went on to win the polls.
And Chameleone feels he had done enough, he should retire from politics.

He said Ssebagala has been in Parliament for the last 20 years but he has done nothing for his constituents who trusted him to deliver good services.

"NUP is a youth based party, Bobi wine is for our generation, I have seen Latif for 20 years in Parliament, what has he done for the people of Kawempe. We only need his advise but its high time for him to go home," he said while addressing youth at NUP offices in Mbarara.
