Cindy Sanyu was officially sworn in as the new Vice President of the Uganda Musicians' Association on Tuesday, replacing Ykee Benda.
While launching her manifesto,Cindy said her goal is to register atleast 6000 musicians by the end of December.
Despite failing to disclose the number of members that the organisation has so far, her goal is to have every musician in Uganda registered.
UMA was established to unite artistes under one umbrella and effectively push their causes. The association, however, faces criticism from some musicians like Kenzo, Gravity Omutujju, A Pass among others. Bebe Cool and Chameleone refused to join the association because it lacks proper organization.
