Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago said that the NRM government under President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has already rigged the 2021 elections.
While appearing at local station, Lukwago said Uganda has no independent electoral commission. He claimed the current electoral commission is only used as Museveni's tool to stay in Power.
He said the electoral commission is full of illegalities. The current chairman is in office illegally, according to Lukwago.
"Casting the ballot alone is not enough to get rid of Museveni. We need to create an environment for a Free and fair elections. As we speak, he has already rigged the 2021 elections. Do we have an independent electoral commission? It is rooted in illegalities. Justice Byamukama, the current Chairman of electoral commission is holding the office illegally," he remarked.
