Oliver Nakakande, 24, was crowned Miss Uganda 2019/ 2021 after beating 21 other contestants at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala.
After her crowning as Miss Uganda, Ugandans started comparing her to with Miss World Africa Quiin Abenakyo.
The online trolls have heaped pressure on her. Many Ugandans are not convinced that she is the right choice to present the country.
She says she is not ready to be Quiin Abenakyo because she is a different person.
“I am aware I am stepping into very big shoes. It scares me, and, for this reason I know that I have to work very hard. Quiin Abenakyo is a darling and has done so well. I look up to her as a role model but I am not ready to be her,” Oliver said during an interview.
Quiin Abenakyo raised the bar so high for her successors as she went on to become the very first Ugandan to become Miss Africa.
