Swangz Avenue singer Veronica Lugya alias Vinka signed a juicy deal with with Sony Music on Tuesday.
The news was confirmed by Swangz Avenue management on the their social media accounts.
Vinka joined the industry during her S.6 vacation. She was interested in singing and dancing. She was Irene Ntale's manager for three years before she became a singer.
In January 2017, she officially joined the industry as a singer and since then, she has released several hits including Malaika, Over dose, chips na ketchup, love doctor and many more. She has quickly became one of the most booked artists in the country.
At the beginning of the year, she announced that she would be releasing a song and video every first day of the month for 12 months and she has lived up to that so far. Her sixth video is scheduled for June 1st.
Vinka joins other African stars signed to the label like Wiz Kid and Davido.
Previously, Ugandan artistes Somi and Keko joined Sony in 2013 and 2012 respectively.
