The controversial Miss Curvy pageant joined the group of flop generals after registering a very low turn up at its grand finale held on Friday, 26th April at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.

Very few enthusiasts and maintenance team were at the venue by the time the event began.

Being the first of its kind,  celebrating sexy and curvaceous women, one would think it would sell out to thousands of thirsty men - smashing attendance records.

At 8:30pm, there was no action on the stage, the event host, Agatha Loswash kept engaging the revellers who were seen indulging in selfie moments and kissing as they waited for more numbers, however, there was no change;  the attendees were not more than 300.

A few minutes to 9pm, they realized time was no longer on their side, the hosts requested the audience to welcome the guest of honour, Ruth Nankabirwa. Other guests included Tourism Minister Godfrey Kiwanda Ssubi. Amidst singing the national anthem, power went off  and the event was halted for 20 minutes for backup generator to be on.

The show resumed 9:15pm with performances from upcoming artistes, Rascal, Phina Masanyalazi among others.

At around 9:30pm, the Miss Curvy finalists were ushered on stage with poor music selection from the DJ. The revellers kept questioning and murmuring about his choice of music.

The main activities were showcased ranging from Q&A and modeling before the winner was announced.

Despite the disorganization, Belinda Nansasi  emerged the winner of Miss Curvy Uganda 2019/20

It was her curves, poise, confidence and intelligence that landed her the coveted tiara on a what would have been a colorful night.

Belinda Nansasi also took home a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a scholarship at Victoria University.

The event ended a few minutes to 2am.
