Tekla Nakazibwe was born in Uganda but moved to the USA in 2013 to persue a bachelor's degree in Fashion Marketing at Art Institution Of North Hollywood.

Howwe has now learnt that Tekla is aspiring to become the next Miss America Africa years after starting off as a freelancer model before Celebrity Influencer, a model agency signed her to do work as a fit model for different designers.

Despite the stiff competition from allover the world, Tekla expects to be crowned the next queen in the second edition of the annual event because of her continued hardwork and love for modelling and fashion.

Besides modelling, Tekla has started a project called 'Theitgirl' Foundation as a build up to the pageant since beauty with brains is a required component in the process of contesting.

'Theitgirl Foundation' is a non profit project in Uganda and America dedicated to girls who have been victims ot sex and human trafficking or those who are thinking of going overseas to work and might fall victims.

The Foundation intends to provide vocational studies like tailoring, make up studies, arts and crafts, services like mentoring, consultation on which countries are fit for these girls to work.

The Miss Africa America will gather contestants from all African countries that reside in USA and is set to happen on November 10th in California in North Hollywood
