Wizkid apologized and vowed to put on a free show for his Ugandan fans.

He made these remarks during his performance at his Kampala concert dubbed 'Thursday Night Live With Wizkid'.

The 27-year-old Nigerian superstar was supposed to stage a show early December last year, and despite the apparent well laid out preparations, the singer never showed up.

According to reports, the 'Come Closer' singer had suffered some sort of food poisoning.

Ugandan fans are (very) forgiving, at least in the case of Wizkid. This was evidenced as the singer paused his performance to apologize for cancelling the 2016 concert, the crowd would shout back, 'We forgive you!'.

I wanna thank you guys for your patience. Thank you so much. First of all I wanna say am so sorry for the last time.
Am so sorry guys, am so sorry.
And because of that, after tonight, am gonna comeback to Uganda to do one free show. -- Wizkid said during his performance.

In May 2017, Wizkid was promted to respond to a fan who tweeted to the popstar saying he still had the ticket he bought for the cancelled concert.
