Comedian Alex Muhangi has been in news lately for parting ways with Bukoto based Diners lounge where he had been hosting his weekly comedy show for the last one and half years.

After falling out with the management, he moved to ‘The 400 Bar and restaurant’ which is located a few meters from Diners lounge. This means that he has to compete with Ronnie McVex who replaced him as the host of comedy night on the same day at Diners.

Last Thursday, revelers who attended Muhangi’s show at The 400 Bar and restaurant were left wondering if he will be able to keep up with trend he had set while at Diners.

Just after two shows at his new home, most of the seats were empty even when the show went on until the wee hours in the morning. The line-up for his performers was also lacking. “Initially, Muhangi used to have a big line of experienced comedians but today, I only see Dikanhio, Kerekere and other little-known comedians,” one reveler was overheard telling to a friend.

Singer Sheeba Karungi headlined the night but failed to command a huge turn-up. There was a downpour at around 11 pm which forced fans to be confined in the tarpaulin.

Dinners lounge was also with a handful of fans that were entertained by comedy duo, Madrat and Chiko and singer Ykee Benda.
