Gospel singers Jackie Senyonga and Julie Mutesasira share one thing in common. They were both married to top Ugandan Pastors. Jackie was married to Pastor Godfrey Senyonga of Kasanga Miracle Centre while Julie was married to Pastor Steven Mutesasira.
However, their marriages didn’t work out with these pastors. Julie was accused by her husband of cheating on him with several young boys in Kampala. She denied the allegations and blamed her husband’s elder children for their marriage breakdown. She flew out of the country to the US.
Senyonga accused Jackie of neglecting their children and marriage for work. It was reported that Jackie used to spend most of her time on the road attending night gospel shows. She would hardly be at home to take care of her husband and Children. According to some media reports in local tabloids, Senyonga started suspecting his wife was cheating on him. They later separated and dumped their wedding rings.
Latest information on the streets of Kampala is that these two women of God have united in the US and have vowed never to step in Uganda again. Sources have alleged that Jackie and Julie are now in the US planning for a different kind of life after their marriages falling apart.
