KAMPALA, May 7, 2014: The biggest event on the youth social calendar, the Buzz Teeniez Awards powered by Mountain Dew, returns with pomp and glamour this Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Kati Kati in Kampala.

Buzz Teeniez Awards is an annual award ceremony that started in 2007 by a youth Magazine called "Buzz". The Buzz Teeniez Awards are tailored to teen viewers to honour the biggest achievers in television, music, deejays, movies, sports, radio and more.

“Mountain Dew is delighted once again to support the Buzz Teeniez Awards. We pride ourselves in connecting with our target consumers; for this case Mountain Dew which is many youths favourite drink,” — said Innocent Tibayeita, the head of marketing at Crown Beverages Limited, the bottlers of Mountain Dew.

“We are associated with these awards because not only are they acknowledged by consumers but also artistes all-over the country. The best experience never seen before is what you should expect this Saturday at the Buzz Teeniez Awards, Voltage edition,” — Mr Tibayeita added.

He said that Mountain Dew’s investment in the awards has been due to the legacy the awards have built over time.
“Building on their year on year success we believe they will once again prove to be one of the best award events in Uganda.”

There will be performances from some of the nominated artistes, dj battles and fun games for teens. Topping the nomination list is Irene Ntale with six nominations, followed by Fille and Khalifa AgaNaga.

Entrance to the venue is Shs10,000 and event starts at 9am.
