Police in Rwenzori East region has launched a manhunt for a suspect identified as Ronald Masereka who is accused of killing his brother. 

Masereka is wanted for killing his sibling Jocknus Mumbere, 25, on Tuesday evening.  

According to Yokonia Matayabu the Kajorogho village local council chairperson in Kyondo sub-county in Kasese District, the two brothers were seen together cooking cassava flour (Obundu). 

However, a few minutes later, resident saw Masereka running away, prompting them to rush and check on his brother Mumbere whom they found lying in a pool of blood.

Residents found an axe and opium where the siblings were cooking from. 

The Rwenzori East Region Police public relations officer Ismail Kawo noted that they have commenced investigations into the matter and appealed to whoever sights the suspect to report to the nearest police station.
