Police in Butaleja have arrested one UPDF officer following the theft of Iron sheets belonging to Busolwe General Hospital.
The affected health facility is currently undergoing renovation by the UPDF engineering brigade.
According to IP Mugwe J Moses the Ag. PRO Bukedi South Region, the incident occurred on the night of 21/4/2022 in Butaleja District.
An army officer attached to the engineering brigade whose particulars are yet to be established was arrested and the motor vehicle that was being used in the transportation of the iron sheets was impounded.
Unfortunately, Mugwe says the driver and the buyer are on the run, but that a team of police investigators led by the D/CIDO is hunting for them.
