The police at Kyengera Police Station have commenced investigations into two cases of mob action that happened over the weekend.
SP Patrick Onyango the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson says the first incident occurred on Friday, when Nsengiyinva Jean Cloude was beaten at around 10:00pm on the allegation of attempting to rape a woman in the area of mugongo A zone.
It is alleged that the woman made an alarm that attracted the community that took the law into it's hands.
The second incident happened on Saturday at around 1:00am when Kizito Ronald was beaten in the area of Nkokonjeru B zone after he allegedly tresspassed by jumping over some ones wall fence and entered the compound.
Kizito was arrested by the watchman but instead he started fighting the guard which prompted the residents to make alarm thus attracting the neighbours who came.
The neighbours carried out mob action on Kizito before he was brought to the police station that night.
Because of his condition, the officer on duty didn't detain him but adviced them to go and get Kizito treated before he could detain him.
Both cases are being investigated by Kyengera police Station while the victims were referred to Mulago hospital for treatment.
Onyango says that no security personnel were involved in the predicament of the two victims.
