The State House Anti-corruption unit together with the Criminal Investigations Directorate CID, have arrested four officials of the Office of the Prime Minister for inflating prices of relief food distributed by government.

The arrests followed a special investigation into the ongoing COVID-19 related food procurement exercise by the OPM, as directed by President Yoweri Museveni.

Those in trouble include the Permanent Secretary Ms. Christine Gwatudde Kintu, the Accounting Officer Mr. Joel Wanjala, and Assistant Commissioner Procurement Mr. Fred Lutimba as well as Commissioner Disaster Management (Head COVID-19 Relief Management) Mr. Martin Owor.
