Police and sister Security agencies are searching for four people who went missing last month in the Albertine region.

Julius Hakiza Albertine region police spokesperson identifies the victims as 3-year-old James Tubazane and 5-year-old Flora Kuzara, residents of Ngururwe village, Kasonga Parish in Kyangwali Sub County, Kikuube district.

These went missing on October 8. They were last seen at Malembo LCI in Kyangwali Sub County around 2 p.m, but efforts to establish their whereabouts have proved futile so far.

The others are Joseph Mugume, the manager of a beer depot in Kagadi and Rashid Edema, a security guard who were both kidnapped in Kagadi on the night of October 24 by unknown thugs who raided the beer depot, disarmed the guard and then bundled them into a vehicle and sped off to an unknown destination.

Hakiza added that the thugs robbed 15 million shillings from the depot, while detectives found bloodstains and bullet cartridge at the place where the depot manager is believed to have been captured.

To date, there has not been any contact to the victims’ family members demanding for ransom raising suspicion that they could have been killed by their kidnappers.
