Police are searching for unidentified assailants who last night, hacked two family members to death and injured another critically in Kamuli district. 

Police identified the deceased as 66-year-old Ndilugendawa Kisule and his wife, Frances Namisini, both residents of Bukalu zone in Nabuwigulu Sub County in Kamuli district.

The assailants also injured their teenage daughter, Glory Namugolo who is currently admitted at Kamuli General Hospital. Police retrieved the lifeless bodies of the deceased from their home this morning with deep cuts on the head, neck and private parts.       

The assailants allegedly first locked 15 houses in the neighborhood with padlocks around 2:00am in the wee hours of this morning before attacking their victims. Residents were only saved by early passersby who heard them crying for help and opened the doors.   

Detectives visited the scene and recorded statements from the neighbors who were instructed not to reveal any information to the press. 
The area LC1 vice chairperson, Julius Katoobe says they are shocked about the brutal murder and are waiting for answers from police.  

The Busoga North Police spokesperson Michael Kasadha asked residents to avail police with information that will help police to apprehend the suspects.

 The deceased’s bodies were taken to Kamuli General Hospital mortuary for postmortem.
