Matete Police in Sembabule district has in custody a 51 year old man for hacking his wife to death. The suspect is identified as Adrian Bukenya while the deceased is Teddy Nabadda 31 whom he killed last night at Kafumu village, in Matete Sub County.
According to Preliminary police investigations, Bukenya hit Nabadda on the head using a hoe, inflicting deep cuts on her hands.
Fauzi Muwonge the village chairperson says the couple have been embroiled in misunderstandings caused by infidelity claims.
The Sembabule District Police Criminal investigation Officer Samson Obicho says that police has recovered the hand hoe that was allegedly used in the murder.
Police has taken the deceased’s body to Sembabule health centre IV for post-mortem as investigations into the cause of the murder goes on.
Muwonge is likely to face charges of murder when police investigations into the matter are completed.
