Kasese police are investigating an incident in which two children and some adults became ill after consuming suspected poisonous cassava flour.
Security is investigating the source of the poisonous flour being sold in the district. 48 people, according to police spokesperson Asan Kasingye, were admitted at Bwera Hospital after consuming the poisonous cassava flour.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the flour was bought from a shop belonging to one Muhongya Khonbeli, a wholesaler at Kaserenetha cell, Bwera Ward, Mpondwe town council.
She was arrested with three other people to aid with investigations.
