Go Forward presidential candidate John Patrick Amama Mbabazi and Forum for Democratic Change’s Rtd. Col. Kiźza Besigye FINALLY met as they attended Mass at Uganda martyrs shrine, Namugongo.

This came after talks between former Prime Minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi and Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye to front a single candidate failed to yield positive results, which led two to contest in the coming presidential elections.

Meanwhile, on their arrival at Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, the two were accorded a thunderous applause. Mbabazi’s successor, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda moved closer to Amama Mbabazi and had a one on one chat as Many people looked on in  a disbelieve.

In general, the level of Diplomacy that was exhibited among some politicians was shocking to many Ugandans as they prayed for peace to prevail.

After the mass, President Museveni had a hand shake with his rivals that is Dr. Kizza Besigye, former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi and other key opposition figures.
