According to a series of reports done by Kampala Sun, the late singer Akay’s wife Maggie is living under hard times.

AK 47’s death earlier in March left the nation in shock. However, what is happening to his twins now is despicable, worse than the initial shock of the yet unsolved death. The late’s children have been chased away from “their” Seguku home by the Mayanja’s (parents of the late, Jose Chameleone, Pallaso, Weasel and others) -- Kampala Sun claimed to have been told by Maggie.

However, our sources have also learnt that the embattled mother of the twins is now very bitter about the treatment she has been receiving from the late husband’s family and is planning on suing them.

“I am finding a lot of hardships ever since Emma died, my kids and I left Seguku and we are now renting in Kiwatule,” said Maggie. She claims that her worry is her kids who fall sick all the time yet her husband’s family doesn’t care about them. “It is actually becoming expensive for me because if it weren’t for my family, I don’t know how we would be.”

Moreso,

“It is really weird when I say that none of AK’s brothers has come out to help us, the very first week after Emma’s death, I was in contact with Pallaso but since then I haven’t even received a call from them to find out how my kids are. I really thank King Saha and his manager Sam Mukasa because they are always trying to find out how we are doing and Saha usually calls me to go and shop for my kids and he always caters for the bill."

The Mayanja’s have however denied these allegations and revealed that the late Akay’s widow has been refusing all the assistance rendered to her.

Meanwhile, Kampala Sun in an exclusive interview with Maggie, she indicated that she had reported her case in Domestic violence fighting organizations like FIDA, however she wasn’t helped. But this time, sources tell Howwe, she is determined to push her case to the courts of law after a few Samaritans came to her rescue to sponsor her to regain her husband’s property.

We have been further told the widow’s efforts to hold a meeting in this regard with the Mayanja family has been made futile by one of the elder brother in the family.
