In 2019, comedian Salvado Idringi launched a comedy night at Kingdom Kampala Mall to rival Alex Muhangi’s Comedy Store.
But Idringi’s show didn't celebrate the first anniversary despite the hype and Salvador’s stature in the industry.
In an interview, Salvador addressed the issue saying the show failed due to a lack of consistency.
“I was always in an out of the country so running a weekly show became hard. For Muhangi, his focus is here and he is consistent, that is the difference,” Salvador explained.
“I now organize only one show per year, Africa Laughs, and that works for me. I realized that having many shows wasn’t my thing. We all have our strengths and weaknesses,” he added.
Salvador currently has a show every Sunday at 8 pm on Pearl Magic Prime, a platform under the Pay-TV giant Multichoice.
