Mc Kats has threatened to stop participating in HIV awareness campaigns if he continues to get no support from the various NGOs and government bodies that say they want to end HIV prevalence.
Mc Kats says he is tired of being used by the organizations.
“They invite me to speak at conferences and give me 150k or less. No one has ever paid me yet people think I earn a lot. I write proposals, nothing comes off them. Right now, I have a show in Mbarara, organisations want to jump on without paying a coin. I am tired of this situation. Soon, I will just return to my music, and chill,” Mc Kats said in an interview.
He has been a huge advocate of ending the HIV stigma.
