Many local musicians are struggling to make ends meet due to continued restrictions on the music industry due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
But some of them are reaping big from singing at traditional ceremonies and weddings.
Musician Lydia Jazmine has been able to stay afloat by singing at these functions around the country.
In a recent interview, she disclosed that she is doing well financially.
“I am not broke. I have been singing at functions. The situation is not good but I thank God for the blessing. People have been hiring me to perform on their weddings, introductions, giveaways, and other parties,” she said in an interview.
Despite not setting foot on stage for almost two years, Lydia Jazmine managed to buy a car.
From very close sources, musicians charge twice or thrice their usual pricing for a function.
