Word has been doing the rounds that Eddy Kenzo refused to sign a deal as a brand ambassador for a European beer brand.

The deal, according to Eddy Kenzo was worth $290,000 (over sh1 billion).  

Following the revelation, some fans were quick to criticize Kenzo for turning down such huge amounts. Others reasoned that by making the disclosure, he was decampaigning the beer business which could hinder sales. 

The singer has clarified that he is not against such businesses because some of his fans drink.

Kenzo said he would have no problem appearing on a billboard of a beer company but taking a sip is something he can not do.
