Mpaka Records boss Ykee Benda got involved in a heated verbal exchange with his fans on social media a few weeks ago.
This came after the fans demanded him to advocate for the release of Nubian Li since he is the current chairperson of the Uganda Musicians Association.
He came out and said Nubian Li was arrested as a musician, he has no mandate over him.
This didn't please many of his fans who hurled insults at him.
One of the fans accused the “Munakampala” hitmaker of rape that happened when the singer was still in High School.
After days of silence, Ykee Benda has come out to trash the allegations and referred to them as baseless.
“As has become a habit, a lot of wild things were posted some of which included an allegation of rape one Twitter user claimed dated back in my high school days. I would like to categorically state that this allegation is baseless and should be treated with the contempt it deserves,” he tweeted.
Ykee Benda also claimed that his account handler was reportedly responsible for the verbal exchange with fans.
