To some celebrities, the party doesn’t stop.
But when Uganda recorded the first case of Coronavirus, the country was put on a lockdown in attempt to stop the spread of Covid-19. Social events were suspended.
However, the government has slowly been easing the tight measures, although parties and concerts are still are still not allowed. This has, however, not stopped some celebrities from throwing parties, only a few adhering to the regulations.
Celebrities who put the lives of their friends at risk include;
SK Mbuga
SK Mbuga is currently behind bars over a birthday party he organized on Saturday for his wife, Vivian Mbuga.
The party was attended by a huge number of people and this drew widespread outrage and police investigation after video footages showed attendees appearing to ignore public health precautions.
People hugged and mingled making a mockery of Ministry of Health( MoH) that gave guidelines of social distancing.
SK Mbuga, who had been having issues with his wife organised this party to apologize for his wrongdoings. But love cannot conquer coronavirus.
Winnie Nwagi
Swangz Avenue artiste celebrated clocking 31 years birthday a week back. She hosted a group of friends and artistes at her home and they didn't observe social distance. The party attracted different celebrities like Sheebah Karungi, Chozen Blood among others.
Winnie was dazzling as she changed into different outfits and shared the pictures on social media for her fans to have a wow moment.
Winnie was lucky, she was not summoned by the police.
Spice Diana
Spice Diana has been hosting friends at her home in Makindye in this lockdown. Although most of the times, the number of guests have not gone beyond five, Diana and her friends have made it a point to have fun, and indulge in dance party sessions and whatnot.
On Monday, she visited the Children Centre (KCC) in Wakiso to make some donations. Although it was a good cause, Diana mixed with children in a way that disobeys the MoH guidelines.
Fresh Kid
Fresh Kid celebrated his 9th birthday over the weekend. His party was attended by Spice Diana (this one cannot sit down), Pallaso and many other prominent people in the celebrity world. The party was organized by Zero One Media.
Fresh Daddy described the party as a mini-concert. No one had a mask at the party.
Rema Namakula
Rema loves to have a good time. To wear nice clothes and post them on social media. Rema’s birthday happened in April when regulations were even tighter. She threw a small party with the members of her house. Rema did not invite any outside guests.
