Rema Namakula was given only five years to retire from music by her hubby's uncle, Godfrey Kirumira.
He said she would fully become a house wife.
Rema spoke about the issue for the first time and she said she is not yet ready to retire.
She said her dreams are not yet fulfilled, she is here to stay.
She believes retiring from music is good for her as a married woman but still has alot to offer.
"What I can say is that I won't retire until I have achieved all my goals. I still have many dreams and my retirement will only come after achieving them. I don't want to be here forever," she said during an interview.
Rema Namakula has a concert on the 14th of February at Africana Hotel in Kampala.
