Quiin Abenakyo has been enjoying stardom ever since she was crowned Miss Uganda in 2018, going on to emerge as Miss World Africa.

Her success at Miss Uganda has opened doors for her, among them meeting the President.

During a recent interview, Abenakyo revealed that fame is not new to her.

“I was famous since my high school days at St. Joseph’s Nsambya. I used to be called Quiin Elizabeth which made me famous at school. Another thing that made me famous was being a tom boy," she revealed.

“Girls used to write to me letters seeking for friendship,” she narrated.

Abenakyo says that she has always wanted to use her fame for a good cause .
She recently launched her foundation, Quin Abenakyo Foundation which she started because she lost a friend to child birth at 14. Abenakyo launched a campaign for the betterment of the girl child during last year’s contest for miss world in a famous speech that got her named Miss World Africa.
