A South African based promoter Zaina Muwonge dragged Jose Chameleone to court some time back over breached contract, damaged reputation and property.Muwonge seeks to recover Sh53m.
Muwonge booked Chameleone to perform in S.A in 2015 but the singer switched off his phone on flight day. He later promised to compensate by performing at her concerts the following year only to play the same games he did in 2015.
On Wednesday this week, a court hearing was set at the commercial court at Twed Towers but Chameleone did not show up.
Chameleone’s lawyers asked the judge, Justice Henrietta Wolayo to postpone the case hearing to 19th December this year as their client was busy and tired from his recent European music tour.
