Over the weekend, Miss World Africa and beauty Queen, Quiin Abenakyo was awarded by the Kyabazinga of Busoga together with other members of the Kingdom.
A section of online in-laws claim she received the award because the Kyabazinga of Busoga is trying to impress her.
But the reigning Miss Uganda has dismissed the reports. She says she was rewarded on merit for her achievements and what she has been doing for the Girl child.
Our reporter spoke to her at Miss Uganda Contestant presentation night that was held at Sheraton Hotel.
She said, “I was rewarded for my achievements and what I am doing for the Girl child and Kingdom at large not because I have a connection with the King".
