In september, Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool represented Uganda at the first United Nations High Level Meeting On Tuberculosis in New York City.

Three months down the road, Bebe Cool received a letter from the Executive Director of United Nations High Level Meeting On Tuberculosis, Dr. Lucica Ditiu thanking him for his effort in fighting Tuberculosis.

In the received letter, Bebe Cool is promised a juicy deal come 2019 as the officially recognised TB ambassador.

"Dear Ssali Moses Bebe Cool,

it was an honor to have had your presence at the Stop TB Partnership event. Our Night with the Stars,"– a Gala Dinner to Celebrate the TB Champions.

Celebrities and TB

Survivors on the eve of the first United Nations High Level (UNHLM) meeting on tuberculosis (TB) in New York City.

The Stop TB Partnership is immensely thankful to you for devoting time out of your busy schedule to join us as a musician and Stop TB Champion from Uganda.

Your voice in sharing your valuable experience and vision to help End TB will go a long way in fighting the injustice and amplifying our collective voices in calling for urgent political action and accountability at the country and global level.

From here, we aim to keep up the pressure on Heads of States and governments to hold

them to the commitments they made when signing up to the Political Declaration on TB at the UNHLM.

In 2019 we will carry out various campaigns to ensure these commitments remain in

the public eye. As we move forward with a more formal engagement with celebrities and personalities such as yourself, we hope to have your continued support along the way. As such, we would like to ensure that you will be officially recognized as a Stop TB

Ambassador and can support efforts to End TB in Uganda, regionally and globally.

We will follow up in early 2019 with a letter outlining potential time commitments from

your side, as well as possible actions for your engagement. We will also arrange a phone call to discuss our future partnership.

As 2018 comes to an end, we wish you very happy holidays and we look forward to working with you closely in the New Year to maintain the momentum in Uganda.

Best regards,

Dr. Lucica Ditiu

Executive Director.
