Christopher Evans Kaweesi alias Chris Evans was on Monday night beaten by yet to be identified assailants on his way home in Lungujja, a Kampala suburb before speeding off with his car, a Toyota Fielder registration number UAZ 399J that was later recovered.

News reaching our desk indicates that the singer's situation is not alarming anymore as he managed to talk to the press before heading to Doctor Albert Cook Hospital in Mengo for a head scan from medics.

Chris Evans managed to talk to the press about how he was clobbered 5 times. His press conference came after he was released from the hospital where he was receiving first aid from injuries that almost claimed his life.

The "bwolonda" singer told the press that, "I was clobbered 5 times with a hammer on my head and later opened up assault case files at Lungujja police station and central police station. Good enough the police spokesperson has confirmed the discovery of my vehicle but this matter is not all about politics as I still feel a lot of head pain from the attack."

It is remembered that many pillars in the entertainment industry like the late Dans Kumapeesa have before been attacked by assailants and beaten up to pulps.
We wish Chris Evans a quick recovery.
