In April 2004, Blu*3 was formed as Ugandan all-girl band after winning the TV show Coca Cola Popstars. Jackie Chandiru was teamed up with Lillian Mbabazi and Cindy Sanyu.
The group excelled in their first musical projects until when fights, jealousy and money torn them apart. Cindy and Jackie went neck to neck until the group fell apart. It was a nasty fight.
Today, we take a close look of how Jackie Chandiru rose to fame and later destroyed her music career.
Her rise to fame
Jackie’s personal character has never been doubted. She is a hustler and go-getter. Her rise to fame was bound to happen with the way she carried herself. From the beginning, she was so hungry for success and needed it badly. You would see it during her stage performances and all the songs she recorded.
Her good voice also made her the best in the group of three. She has a killer voice that would stand out of the three. Fans started taking her as the best in the group and this led her to build unshakable confidence.
Being the only Lugbra that was hot and nice contributed much of her rise to fame. All people from the north worshipped and praised Jackie as Beyoncé of sorts. Whenever she would step in Arua, Jackie would be like a queen. Most expensive deals would be given to her. Rich men from Arua targeted her and enjoyed a luxurious lifestyle.
She got money and used it to pay for her expensive trips, keeping media personalities happy who would, in turn, give her good publicity. In the few years, Jackie was on top of her game.
How did Jackie fall down?
Jackie’s story is so touching. The temple she had fought for passionately ended up falling apart in a matter of just a sprint second. She lost the fame, money and probably the friends she had. She was painted as a drug addict in most city local tabloids and blogs.
Failed Relationships
Jackie Started to engage herself in some relationships that were never meant for her. She started dating married men. She fell in love with lawyer Caleb Alaka and broke his marriage.Alaka’s wife defended her marriage by allegedly trying witchcraft and all those dirty games scorned women play.
In the end, Jackie started wasting much of her time in fighting for men. She started giving interviews that had all the rights to have any man any man she needed. She found herself in a situation where she could not easily catch up with the fast-growing music industry.
Love For Money
Three years back, Jackie made the worst decision of her life. After falling out with Alaka, she turned her frustrations into getting a rich old white man. The marriage happened so fast and it never lasted. When her husband left the marriage, Jackie started literally begging money from the husband and when he got fed up, he left.
Love for drugs
The only way she couldn’t feel better about her frustrations was to turn to drugs. She took drugs until when she finally got addicted. She is currently holed up in a rehab centre.
Witch craft
Jackie one time alleged that she was being witch-hunted by Cindy. She claimed that one time she just blacked out and fell in the middle of the road. She attributed all this to Cindy. Never the less, we are still praying for you Jackie to get back on your feet.
