Alex Muhangi is a comedian and hosts weekly comedy show at Bukoto based Dinners lounge.
He rose to fame after joining the competition that was held at Theatre Labonita auditioning for MNets next standup comedian few years ago.
He was just driving along Kimathi Avenue when he saw people lining up outside Labonita. He thought it was acting auditions and joined because he always wanted to act. He was surprised when the audition judges asked him to tell them a joke. He went through and became one of the main contenders of what he later learnt was M-Net’s Stand-Up Uganda comedy search.
He owns masters studio that creates Radio adverts and produces music. But most importantly he is good Mukiga from a small village nestled between hills called Mparo. He comes from a family of 10girls and 3 boys. He says in his village, people see the sun around midday after it shows up from behind the hill, and then it disappears around 3pm behind another hill. He came to Kampala on Horizon bus.
Family
He has been dating Galaxy Fm presenter Prim Asiimwe of Galaxy Fm for 5 years. They stay together with their two year old baby girl.
He is also a very hygienic man and loves keeping his stuff in order. Ask anyone who has been close to Alex and will tell you about his cleanness. His car is as clean as a new one from a showroom and this reflected in the fashion as well.
Alex is studied journalism from Makerere University, later went to South Africa for sound engineering course and replaced Benon Mugumbya in 2008 after he had quite Fenon records.
Jealousy man
He loves his baby mama Prim so much and friends will tell you how the skinny comedian doesn't let any man get close to her. He hates workmates texting or calling Prim when they are together.
He is a heavy drinker and gulps a lot of red label when on a night out.
