Did You Know?

Back ... way back ... before Radio & Weasel were a duo ... back before Radio joined the singing crew at Leone Island ... before he was given his first ever shot at backing up the crew singers, he was just a (very) determined young boy doing whatever it took to get noticed, including washing Jose Chameleone and Weasel's cars for some rent and food money while chasing his dream of getting on the team as a singer.

Radio endured everything.

He was later given a chance to start moving to shows and bars with the leone Island crew ... but only as a body guard, sort of, you know, those poor guys you see standing around celebrities in bars ... while these famous stars sit on the couch drinking expensive spirits they didn't even pay for, yeah, Radio was that guy.

But wait, Radio might have washed Weasel's car, but that doesn't mean the latter was any better than the other upcoming artists that were being fatigued in the Leaone Island crew. Regardless of Weasel's relationship with Jose Chameleone, the Wiggle singer was facing the same wrath from the then ruthless Jose Chameleone.

Then it Happened!

While at a one of the shows, Jose Chameleone was missing his usual backup singers ... and that's when some of the crew members that had already realized Radio's talent suggested he stepped in and backed-up the megastar.

That's when the stage appearances begun, but still, as a backup singer.

Radio & Weasel Finally decide to sing together

Weasel and Radio have always been good song writers. While in the Leone Island, the two wrote some of the biggest hits at the time, but were given little or no credit for them.

They continued to face hard times at the hands of Chameleone and in 2008, they decided they had had enough of his wrath.

Radio and Weasel broke off from Chameleone's Leone Island Crew to form the Goodlyfe Crew.

The duo became popular after the release of their first song Nakudata which was later followed with Lwaki Onumya, Zuena, Nyambura and Bread and Butter.

The break-off from Chameleone gave birth to one of the most popular celebrity beef that was accompanied with a few brutal fights.

In December 2013, the duo resolved their dispute with their former Leone Island boss and they teamed up again for the first time since their breakup in 2008. This prompted the duo to share the stage with Chameleone in the Tubonge concert of 2014.

Jose Chameleone, Radio & Weasel are currently working on a new song titled 'Remember Me' and will be shooting the video in South Africa in about 2 weeks from now.

We will keep you posted!
