Vivo Energy Uganda over the weekend announced a customer loyalty programme, designed by Shell, called the Shell Club.
The user-friendly platform will enable customers to earn and accumulate points for all their purchases at Shell service stations, which can be converted into rewards.
Speaking at the launch, Vivo Energy Uganda’s Managing Director, Gilbert Assi said the Shell Club is a demonstration of Vivo Energy’s commitment to innovation, will revolutionize customer experiences, and redefine the relationships Shell has with its customers. “The Shell Club is an integrated rewards system that will allow our customers to earn points for every shilling spent at our Shell service stations. Our customers will be able to use their earned points to redeem gifts of their choice from our extensive rewards catalogue.”
Leveraging the vast Shell service station network coverage around the country, the Shell Club is the first all-inclusive loyalty programme in Uganda. Registration is free, easy and open to all.
Customers can register through various ways, including the Shell Africa mobile app, website or by simply visiting any Shell service station. On registration, they will be issued with a loyalty card or a Near Field Communication (NFC) tag, which they are advised to use after every purchase.
Shell Club registered customers will earn and accumulate points on every purchase above UGX5,000 made at Shell service stations ranging from fuels, motor oils and lubricants, gas or shopping at Shell Select shops.
“We appreciate the lifestyle needs of our customers and this informed the design of the programme. The rewards are not limited to Shell products. Customers will be able to choose from the services offered by our valued partners, including mobile and consumer electronics, health clubs and spas, tour and travel, airtime, cinemas, restaurants and many more. There is definitely more joy in every visit to Shell,” Mr. Assi added.
Rewards will be redeemed from an extensive catalogue of gifts and offers on the Shell Africa mobile app. Repeated usage is encouraged to accumulate points and redeem rewards.
“This is a significant investment for us and will change the way we do business, allowing us to understand our customers better and tailor offers to suit their needs,” Assi concluded.
