The district head of Criminal investigations department (CID) Edward Musasizi confirmed the incident and identified the suspect as Jack Bagarukayo who had been assigned to guard at the electoral commission offices in Kanungu town council.
It’s alleged that on February 18, 2014, the suspect attacked the female guard working for Saracen Uganda Limited who was deployed at Posta Bank in Kanungu town council. He reportedly held the guard at gun point and directed her to undress.
The female guard identified as Evas Ampiire grabbed him and attempted to disarm the attacker who responded by shooting in the air.
The suspect is currently in detention as investigations into the matter are underway. - via Redpepper
