Police in Kampala has commenced investigations into circumstances under which one of its own PC Sabiiti Godfrey 37 from VIPPU shot his wife Carol Akol dead.
According to the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson Emilian Kayima, the incident happened around 6 am this morning at Nsambya police barracks.
Kayima narrated to us that the killer signed for a rifle from the armory pretending to be going for duty, only for him to turn back and go to his house where he shot his wife and later sent himself six feet under too.
“We have recovered five cartridges and five bullets at the scene of crime. And the three children that the couple is survived with are 7 year old Odeke Daniel, 3 year old Blessing and two year old Rwoth” Kayima said.
He added that cause of the murder is not yet established but police suspects that it was domestic violence.
