Rising musician Zuli Tums worked at Maro’s ‘Volume Up’ studio for a long time as his producer, writer, and backup artiste.
The two, however, parted ways in April 2020 after Zuli Tums decided to pursue a career as an artist.
Zuli Tums’s exit created speculation that the duo was beefing. This escalated when Maro failed to turn up for Zuli Tums’s unveiling party at Pearl of Africa Hotel towards the end of 2020.
For the first time, Maro has come out to talk about their relationship. He explained that he didn't attend Zuli Tumis's show because he was in preparations to relocate to Germany.
Maro also emphasized that Zuli Tums is still his great friend and there is no beef between them.
Meanwhile, Zuli Tums also confirmed that they are still tight friends. He revealed that Maro has been very supportive of his career.
"Maro has been helpful to me even through the hard times, throughout Covid-19 we would travel in the same car to meet with my management. He remains a strong pillar in my career and their is no beef," he said in an interview with a local television.
Maro currently resides in Germany with his wife and child while Zuli Tums is signed to a Nigerian record label, Black Avie Records
