The Buikwe woman MP, Judith Babirye introduced fellow Mp Paul Musoke Sebulime over the weekend in a colourful ceremony at Las Vegas hotel in Bunga.
This union has been the subject of discussion on social media. Judith Babirye filled for divorce in January last year accusing his ex-husband of domestic violence, adultery and parental negligence.
However according to Provia Nangobi the Uganda Registration Service Bureau(UPRSB) spokesperson, Babirye is still married to her first husband, Samuel Niiwo, and the marriage has not yet been called off since the husband has not yet signed the divorce decree.
Popular Ssenga Justine Nantume has also added her voice to Babirye's saga. She says in regard to the culture, a Ssalongo(a father of twins) can never get married to a Babirye(a twin), asserting that that’s why her father rebuked the union and the couple decided to hold a function at a hotel.
She also adds that love knows no age so Babirye falling in love with another man at 41 years is not crime and it’s actually good for her.
