The Police in Kyenjojo district have commenced investigations into a case in which two Boda boda cyclists were murdered and their bodies were recovered from Matiri forest reserve.

The deceased persons have been identified as Patrick Kyaligonza and Monday Aliguma, both residents of Mpunda ward Kyenjojo town council in Kyenjojo district.

Vincent Twesige the Rwenzori West Police Spokesperson says that with the help of Tugende company officials they were able to locate and recover the deceased’s bodies from Matiri forest reserve.

Sources say the two riders were last seen on Saturday around 8 pm before unidentified persons hired them to take them to Rwibale village in Kihura sub-county.

Unfortunately, the riders neither returned to their homes nor picked their calls, prompting residents and police to search for them mainly in Mukonomura and Matiri forests.

The deceased’s bodies were conveyed to Kyenjojo General Hospital pending post mortem before they are handed over to their relatives for burial.
