The Chief Executive Officer for the Government owned Vision Group Robert Kabushenga has bowed out of the position and gone into what he termed as early retirement.

According to Kabushenga, he will remain in office for an extra 90 days as requested by the Board of Directors, in order to oversee the transition process.

"I am proud of the success we achieved and the impact we have had in society. This was possible because we worked together as a team. No single person could have done it on their own, certainly not me" part of his letter reads.

He added that "I have always said to you that everyone in their lives should have the privilege of working with people like you. I had a great time doing just that and for me, it was an absolute honor and pleasure to have done so".

Kabushenga has been at Vision Group since the 90s and has spent at least more than 10 years as CEO.

Many people including the employees at Vision Group and colleagues in media took to social media to congratulate him on the job well done and wish him a great time in retirement.
