Six members of the ruling NRM Parliamentary caucus are not welcome to attend the party’s retreat at Kyankwanzi slated to begin on Thursday this week.

The communication was made by Hon.Margaret Muhanga the publicity secretary NRM parliamentary caucus, during a press briefing at the media centre this morning.
According to Muhanga, the six members have for long been in disagreement with all ideologies of the NRM party and have not been invited for the retreat.

These members are, Honorables Mbwa Tekamwa of Kasambya county, Kumi woman MP Amoding Monicah, Theodore Ssekikubo of Lwemiyaga, Manjiya county MP John Baptist Nambeshe, Oshabe Patrick of Kassanda North and Buyaga West MP Barnabas Tinkasiimire.

According to Hon.Muhanga, the MPs have gone against the party by even supporting Rwanda over their own country.

“We don’t have rebels but people who disagree with everything NRM puts on the tables. They vote with opposition and I have even seen them support Rwanda over Uganda. They wear headbands showing they are not in support of NRM. They are the only six that are not coming to attend the retreat, the rest are all attending” she said.
Hon. Solomon Silwany the caucus Vice chairman downplayed the sole candidature question claiming it is not on the order. Asked if this could be smuggled in along the way, Silwany said members of the caucus are allowed to contribute anything to the discussions.
