Lagu passed away at the age of 41 due to kidney failure. She had been in and out of hospital for the past four years. She leaves behind a son.

At the time of her passing, Lagu was in the midst of preparing for a charity concert titled "Evelyn Love Live in Charity Concert" scheduled for October 28, 2023, at Papaz Spot Makindye, a suburb of the city.

She announced her charity concert, "Evelyn Love Charity Concert," which will take place at Papaz Spot in Makindye.

The land was donated by her close friend known as Stash who relocated with her mum to the Netherlands.

Evelyn's condition has worsened, as one of her veins ruptured, and her eyes are no longer functioning well. She also developed a health complication that caused her lungs to be clogged with water, making it difficult for her to breathe.

UMA sympathized with Chameleone and sent him words of encouragement.

Lagu requested promoters to book her for shows to be able to raise money for her treatment. 

Others showed their boobs while others only wore panties to show their frustration and discontent. 

Evelyn Lagu has been unhealthy for almost four years. She battles kidney and heart complications.

The two have been romantically linked for about 2 years now.
