In AFRICA he is a full-blown 'TALENTED SUPER STAR'. As anyone who has met him will attest, SHIRU is the living embodiment of the perfect gentlemen, the DJ diplomat and progressive music pioneer.

DJ SHIRU began in 2000 with the launch of his own record label, SHIRUMATIC PRO, releasing his debute production in 2001 with artist JOSE CHAMELEON It took over two years to complete and stormed up the EAST AFRICAN charts attaining a position of #1 in the eastafrican dj competitions n winning his first award in southafrica where he had a gig with dj fresh. In addition, he began his own management company, SHIRUMATIC PRO, which has blossomed under his watchful eye and boasts a roster which includes such well-known DJ's as ROTA, RICKIE, and MANY MORE.

DJ SHIRU's achievements do not stop there. He was awarded uganda's "Dj Of The Year" for the second year in a row. eycon Magazine crowned him "DJ Of The Year" in their readers poll and he received "Best DJ Of The Year" accolades in southafrica, kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria. He has graced the covers of UGANDA's biggest music magazines SHIRU works at DEMBE radio sation with his own "Ultimate Mix" show on Saturday nights and was awarded the "DJ Mixer Of The Year" by its listeners.
DJ shiru is a young ugandan talented dj with a very different style in the way he mixes his remixes and recognized by the willingness to try many different skills and styles from the old and new world.

His style is distinctive in the way he uses his experience to make his sansetional remixes which have put him on the map of the world and got known by different dj's in the world including dj westwood, dj fresh of south africa and many more..he has also worked with so many artists including mtv nominee jose chameleon whom he made a hot track for him ( bomboclat) and made rmxes for all most all artists in uganda, Kenya,Tanzania, Nigeria, South African n England

Shiru is currently in the uk and playing at club volts he has played almost in all top clubs in east africa and he is a top dj at club silk,volts ug n ange mis. ug...he has won 2 awards in south africa and ready to rock again in the forth coming dj's competitions with a new style.

After attending my first dJing class at a local Adult Education facility (dj rota's yard) 4years ago, I was surprised by the fact that I had discovered a hidden talent. A talent that was discovered during my “mid-life” crisis, a talent that was very much a God given ability.

With my love of traveling, It made everything so much more easy for me. due to the fact tht i was was travelling all over africa to look for different facilities to help out ma new discovered carrier with the help of ma brother Rota who i first played a gig with.. i have played with so many djs around africa more in east africa done so many remixes and won 2awards so far and am now targetting europe and us
